How It Works Introductory Video:
Anatomy of a Bulk Book Sale to the
Corporate Incentives Market
According to a Feb 2005 report from the Association of American Publishers, of the $23.7 billion of books sold in 2004, only 45% were sold through bookstores, the most competitive and challenging-to-penetrate channel for selling books. That means that non-bookstore sales account for more book sales than bookstores do!!!
A major part of those non-bookstore sales is the incentives marketplace. Book sales approach $1 billion of the $46 billion incentives industry. A 2005 survey of incentive buyers by the Incentive Federation Inc. revealed that up to 24% of companies that use incentives choose books for the purpose.
One sale of your book through IncentiveBooks.com could easily eclipse your sales from all other sources combined. Whatever else you're doing to market your books, if you fall into one of the categories listed below you should also be getting exposure to incentive buyers.
- You're a published author who desires to help more people through higher book sales
- You're a published coach, consultant, speaker or trainer who wants to catapult your reputation and open opportunities to sell other products and services
- You're a published author who wants to make serious money by selling books by the 1000s at a time
- You're a published author with disappointing book sales who wants to recover your financial investment in your book
- You're self-published author who wants to leverage better sales into acquiring additional sales channels or a publishing house
- You're a published author who is ready to update an existing book but needs to sell the remaining inventory of the current version to help finance the update
Incentive buyers buy quantities of several hundred to hundreds of thousands. According to MotivationShow.com, most of the sales of books-as-incentives start at a quantity of 5,000 books and goes up from there.
If you personally made a profit of just $1 a book, that's $5,000
$2 a book = $10,000
$4 a book = $20,000
